12th Grade Roller Coaster Review

Today during computer class, Mr. Picketts allowed us to see how the 12th Grade Roller Coasters work. The first one was the Candy Mountain. The Roller Coaster was build from wood sticks and candy. It was very original and awesome. My favorite part was when the marble finish the course in the candy house. I think that a 60 must be their grade. The second was a roller coaster with a japanese theme. The thing I like most was the many loops and that the structure was very resistant. I would grade them with an 58. They could decorate the orange tube. The third one was like a Mushroom Island Roller Coaster. In my opinion they deserve a 50 because the marble didn't complete the course and it was too simple. They could make better supports and add more things. The fourth one was The Soccer Roller Coaster. My favorite part was when th "marble" finished the course at the soccer goal. I would grade them with an 53 because they didn't use a normal marble, they use a really tiny marble so it make the course easier for that team, I don't think that was fair for their classmates. They could change the marble and add some supports in special parts. The fifth one was The New York City Roller Coaster. In my opinion they deserve a 57, because the buildings were awesome, there were like the real city. My favorite part were the buildings. I think they could improve in changing the track with a stronger one and use another thing to paste it than tape because it didn't look good all that tape around the track. Finally, the last one was Alice In Wonderland Roller Coaster. The thing I like most was the double loop and that there can go three marbles at the same time. I would give them a 55 becuase it didn't show many parts of the roller coaster. I think they could open the closed parts so everyone can watch the course of the marble.

Robot Demostration

On Friday, during computer class, a man named Abraham gave us a demonstration about robots. He explained a robot has many sensors. Sensors for light, ultrasound, sight, sound, and for many other things. Abraham told us that a new generation Lego robot would cost $400 dollars (very expensive). He also showed us how to make a robot move by a computer program. To make a robot move, you should put in the computer each move you want your robot to move. With this demostration I learned that a robot is very complicated to make it functional.

Me...

Hello, my name is Sebastian, I was born in Puerto Vallarta. I have been here since I was a little baby. My parents are Victoria "Vicky" and Benjamin, I have only one brother and sister, my brother's name is Emilio, he is eleven years old, and my sister Andrea which is sixteen years old, and at least but very important my first dog, he is a chihuahua named Toy and he is seven years old. I have only lived in two houses and both are in front of the Malecon. The one that I'm living in is above my family's jewelry "Ole" and my father's restaurant "Paradise Burger" so my house has three levels!

I passed all my kindergarten and primary in "British American School", I have very good memories about all my experiences in that school. Then, in my first year of Junior High I moved to the "Vancouver School", it is not a very good school but I was there waiting for a place in the "American School". Now I'm in my second year of Junior High. I'm in the "American School"; truly this is the best school I have ever been.

I play soccer since I was a little boy. I usually practiced in the "Lefut" or "Penalty" fields, but now I don't play any sport. Sometimes I go the a soccer field near my house and play for a while. I usually spent my time doing homework, be some with my friends, play video games (I think is very bad to play that things), or using my computer.

Listening

For my Audacity Project I used only war sound effects, the sound effect I use most were shots. Today, everybody listen mostly all the created songs like for two minutes each one,They create and use their own effects, mostly they use their mouth or hands. Other make some beatboxing. Only a few things I couldn't do, like to be more creative, make my own sounds.

Like I already said, today I listen almost all Audacity Projects. All were very good but for me, the beatboxing songs were the best ones. Everybody were very creative, they use all kind of sounds and all sounds like remixes. Someone's Project were not too good because they didn't put effort in this, but I can see that almost everybody put a lot of effort doing this project.

Audacity

Mr. Picketts asked us to make a song wth minimun 90 seconds and max. 180. The song must be made by our own sounds or get some free sounds from internet (www.partnersinrhyme.com). We had more than a to do the audacity file. First I think to copy a little part of a song and add some sounds, and I did it but I copy the song many times to make it larger and I added some war sounds, because my theme was war. I think I did a great job and I have very good results. At first it was difficult and frustaring but then I understand it and it was easy. I really don't know who will be the winner. I think everyone have a very good song. Next time I would do it with my own personalized sounds.

Mash-Ups

During a week each student have to do a Mash up song using Audacity, for some people it was difficult to understand it but later it come easy. Mr. Picketts assign us a team, my team members are: Hope, Ximena, Priscila, Marifer, Mahonry, and me. Everybody have to hear their parters mash ups and give an opinion. When we heard all the mash ups, the one I like most was Mahonry Mash ups because he use some song I like it and you can see that he put some effort in this assigment.

Making my Mash Up was difficult at first because I didn't know how to use audacity, but I asked my friends and they told me how to use it, but unfortunately in my computer I don't have the album with the songs, I don't care that for at all. I use the exsorcist song and I put some good effects, I think I could put more effort because I'm not comfortable with my Mash up

Typing Reflection

I am practicing typing master since I had started the year, I had definetly improve because I did not type to many words per minute at the begining but now that I'm practicing in typing tests, I get better in my accuracy and words per minute. I definetly want to get better for the test and for myself because I like to type fast, my goal is to make more than twenty-two words per minute and have a good accuracy. For achieve that goal I have to challenge myself for many times until I reach it. I think the score for me next week "blind" test will be with twenty words per minute and ninety for accuracy.

I made this flying car, because I think it would be amazing if we have some flying cars. It take me a while to do it because I'm not the best Photoshop artist so I have to do it step by step. I think it would change the form to transport from one point to another. This artifact would make people's life easier and faster without traffic by only flying into the air to reach your destiny.

http://strawberriezz-laura.blogspot.com/

This is the future artifact of Laura "CJ8" it is a super faster train that can transport you to one planet or galaxy to another in only a few light years. The thing I like about this project was the incredible idea to transport at a very fast speed in a train. Some Photoshop steps that she do make me want to learning it are, like how she put so many backgrounds at the same time and make it look so realistic.

I really like my Future Artifact of the flying car because that is a great idea. I think that when I'm older it will be invented and if I have the enough money I will buy it because it is amazing. I think it would change the life for the ones who bought it, because the flying car will make them to travel very fast and get less trafic, it would help the people to get relax for the feelings and the adrenaline of take a trip in the flying car.

Artifact From the Future

This is a picture from the future because we don't have the needed technology to make that things like it shows in the image. We would need some years until we know how to do that mirrors with the antivirus.I like it because with that mirror with the antivirus, you can know if you are sick or have an undetectable cancer or tumor and then visit the hospital repair your sickness and save your life.

I would like to make a closet with special robotic arms and an advanced technology to be able to change your clothe. I like that idea because I don't like when I'm waking up and I have to change my clothe. With that closet you will only stand up in front of your closet and it will put your clothe on with their special robotic arms

The most challenging part for doing my family tree was that I do not have photos about some aunts that live in United States, so I asked to my aunts in a e-mail if they have a photos of them and send me that photos, my aunts said ok and sent their photos.
